CMC partners with Catholic Charities New Hampshire to support parenting education and food security
Manchester, N.H. — Catholic Medical Center has announced a $25,000 gift to Catholic Charities New Hampshire to support and strengthen Our Place and The New Hampshire Food Bank, two vital community programs connecting individuals and families in need of resources.
Funding will support Our Place activating essential safety education for families, including one-on-one parenting education focused on safe sleep practices, car seat safety checks and classes to assist families throughout their pregnancy and parenting journey.
Additional funds from the community health investment will be allocated to support The New Hampshire Food Bank in providing nutritious food and resources to a significant number of residents who are food insecure.
“Catholic Medical Center embraces our responsibility to help support the local communities we serve,” said John Skevington, chief executive officer at Catholic Medical Center. “As an anchor institution, we are committed to creating healthier tomorrows by partnering with nonprofits like Catholic Charities New Hampshire and funding programs that promote health access and outcomes for all.”
Now in its 80th year, Catholic Charities New Hampshire continues to provide a wide range of programs to support members of the community regardless of their background.
“Thanks to the generosity of CMC, we can address challenges like food insecurity, child safety and other issues negatively impacting individuals and families, helping them today while creating stability for tomorrow,” said Thomas Blonski, president and chief executive officer of Catholic Charities New Hampshire. “We are deeply grateful for CMC’s partnership and shared commitment to building stronger communities.”
