Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester gifted $50,000 for perinatal and postpartum mental health services

Manchester, N.H. — Catholic Medical Center has announced a $50,000 gift to The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester to expand its perinatal and postpartum mental health services, particularly for underserved populations and low-income families in the region.

The funding has allowed The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester to develop a comprehensive program to address the critical and growing perinatal and postpartum mental health challenges including anxiety and depression, substance use during pregnancy and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). This program officially opened today, December 1, 2025.

“At Catholic Medical Center, our care reaches far beyond the walls of our facilities, touching the communities where we live and serve,” said John Skevington, chief executive officer at Catholic Medical Center. “Our community partnership with The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester reflects our commitment to improving health outcomes and investing in solutions to help change our communities for the better.”

Through staff expansion, training, service enhancements and case management, The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester perinatal and postpartum program will improve health outcomes, reducing costs associated with untreated mental health conditions and generate significant community impact.

“We are grateful for Catholic Medical Center’s belief in our vision of creating an ecosystem of excellence in mental health care,” said Patricia Carty, President and CEO of The Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester. “Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient community where mental health is a priority for all.”
