Visiting our hospital

We want to make your visit safe and comfortable, and the services we provide our visitors help make that happen.

Visitor information

We recognize that visitors, family and friends play a significant role in your recovery process. Visitors are welcome at our hospital within the designated visiting hours.

Hospital patients

  • 24/7 with general visiting hours from 8:00am to 8:00pm

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

  • Visiting hours from 10:00am to 8:00pm

The Mom's Place and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit & Family Suites

  • Visiting hours from 8:00am to 8:00pm

Quiet time

Quiet time is encouraged throughout the hospital from 8:00pm to 8:00am and from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Quiet and rest are important for our patients' health and healing. Visitors are encouraged to respect this quiet time. During quiet time, we ask for dim lights, hushed voices, silent cell phones and that visitors are kept to a minimum to ensure less noise.

Additional visitation information

Inpatients, including those in the ICU

  • CMC permits visitation 24/7 but reserves the right to restrict visitation if necessary to maintain a safe and healing environment.
  • Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Emergency room

  • Two visitors are allowed to accompany a patient in the waiting room and the emergency room after they are screened. Challenging social visitor situations can be reviewed at the supervisor's direction after being screened.
  • Visitors must fill out a visitor information slip.
  • If treatment areas are at capacity, visitors may be asked to wait in their vehicles until space permits.

Disabilities

  • Covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504, people with disabilities have the right to bring a support person with them to the hospital or practice per the Office for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Surgical and procedural patients

  • When you arrive at the emergency room prior to 5:30am for scheduled surgery, please go directly to the lobby on level A.
