Credentialing

Centralized credentialing

Providing quality, patient-centered care is our mission at Catholic Medical Center. That’s why it’s important that we partner with physicians and other medical professionals (providers) who have the necessary qualifications and credentials to provide quality, safe and compassionate medical care to our community.

Credentialing and privileging

Our rigorous credentialing process follows federal and state regulatory requirements, as well as accreditation standards for verifying the education, training, licensure and current competence in order to ensure that privileges are only granted to qualified providers.

Doulas welcome!

We deeply value the incredible support and professional expertise doulas bring to the birthing experience. To further enhance the quality of care and to elevate the doula profession within our facilities, we have a credentialing process for doulas practicing in our hospitals.

Doulas who have not yet completed credentialing are still warmly welcomed as visitors and may accompany their clients, though access to certain areas may be limited. The credentialing fee is $299 annually, which supports administrative processing — not general hospital access.

Visit VPRO to learn more about the credentialing process and access the checklist. When you are ready, register as a Tier 2 verified professional. For help with registration, call (954) 514-1440 or send a message.

If you would like to talk through this change, please contact the Director of Women's Services at your hospital.
