This can include working on fine and gross motor skills, as well as coordination and sensory skills to help you shower, drive a car and use a pen. Our therapists can assist you with both physical and cognitive impairments, while working as part of a team in your care.
Physical therapy
Physical therapy can help you regain mobility and function after an injury or illness, using a variety of techniques to help reduce discomfort, build strength and improve your daily life. Physical therapists work in our inpatient and outpatient settings and can teach you how to use prosthetics, orthotics and mobility aids, such as wheelchairs.
Rheumatoid hands therapy
If you are experiencing hand arthritis, we proudly offer an at-home therapy program known as SARAH (stretching and strengthening for rheumatoid arthritis of the hand). You can complete exercise and therapy sessions designed to help improve your hand function over the course of a few months.
Speech therapy
Speech therapy evaluates and addresses communication impairments that may result from an injury, illness or cognitive disorder. Additionally, our speech therapists can help you express yourself again after a stroke.
