Catholic Medical Center (CMC), part of the HCA Healthcare family, is proud to announce the launch of its new neurosurgery practice, led by nationally acclaimed neurosurgeon Tung T. Nguyen, MD, FAANS.

Dr. Nguyen is a board-certified neurosurgeon with nearly 30 years of experience in complex brain and spine surgery, clinical research, and surgical innovation. A six-time honoree as New Hampshire Magazine’s Top Doctor in Neurosurgery (2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2024, 2025), he is widely respected for his technical expertise and commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

A graduate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Nguyen completed his residency and fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University before serving as a Senior Staff Fellow in the Surgical Neurology Branch of the National Institutes of Health. His career includes leadership roles at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and Elliot Hospital, as well as groundbreaking research collaborations focused on brain tumors, spinal disorders and advanced surgical techniques. He is also the co-inventor of patented spinal therapy instruments and has trained surgeons around the world in state-of-the-art procedures.

CMC’s new neurosurgery practice will offer comprehensive care for conditions affecting the brain, spine and nervous system. Dr. Nguyen’s clinical specialties include minimally invasive spine surgery, neuro-oncology, complex spinal reconstruction and computer-assisted surgical navigation.

Born in Vietnam and raised in Morristown, New Jersey, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time with his wife and adult children when he’s not in the operating room.

The practice will begin seeing patients on December 11, 2025.
