Outpatient limb loss care

Managing an amputation is a life-long experience, and our limb loss clinic works towards helping you create or maintain an independent, healthy lifestyle that lasts. Our therapists work closely with you, your prosthetist and your dietician to achieve successful prosthetic management and functional mobility skills, while incorporating services, such as occupational therapy, nurse care management, physiatry and physical therapy.

We assess your abilities, psychosocial concerns and healthcare needs, including skin care management, safe functional mobility and your prosthesis use or candidacy. Screenings may result in a referral to a specialist to address your individual healthcare and mobility concerns. Your healthcare provider can refer you to our limb loss clinic during hospital discharge, outpatient care, at home or in long-term healthcare follow-up appointments.

Outpatient rehabilitation

What is the admission process?

You will need a physician referral for all services, except massage and case management. Please contact us to schedule your initial appointment.

How long and often should I expect to come for therapy?

We proudly work with you, your family and your referring physician to offer you personalized treatments based on your specific needs. At your initial evaluation, one of our therapists will discuss your plan of care with you.

Does insurance cover my therapy services?

We accept most insurance, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. Our dedicated team is happy to assist in the coordination of benefits with your health plan for our programs.
