Catholic Medical Center - March 27, 2026

This Doctor’s Day, and during Women’s History Month, we are proud to recognize Dr. Fletcher — a board-certified vascular surgeon whose 30-year career reflects clinical excellence, compassionate care and a deep commitment to the communities she serves.

Since joining Catholic Medical Center in 2003, Dr. Fletcher has witnessed and helped lead significant changes in healthcare. From advances in technology to the rise of team-based care, she has remained grounded in a clear purpose: “Our job is to protect patients, keep them safe and help them heal.”

After three decades of caring for patients and shaping surgical care in Manchester, Dr. Fletcher is preparing to close an important chapter of her career — one defined by dedication, lifelong learning, and a deep commitment to community.

Her commitment to lifelong learning has been a defining part of her career. Mid-career, she returned to training to expand her expertise in endovascular techniques and later earned her MBA while continuing to practice full time. “If you want to serve your patients well, you have to stay current — even when it’s hard.”

Dr. Fletcher has seen a major shift in how care is delivered — from hierarchical models of the past to the collaborative, multidisciplinary teams that define modern healthcare. “In the operating room and on the floors, care is delivered by teams… everyone brings expertise.” She adds, “It’s like a pit crew — everyone has a critical role, and the best outcomes happen when we work together.”

As a mother of six, Dr. Fletcher credits her family with shaping her perspective as a physician. “Being a parent makes you a better human — and a better doctor. It teaches patience, empathy and humility. You understand what families are going through in a much deeper way.”

Balancing family life with a demanding surgical career was not easy, but she believes those experiences strengthened her connection to patients.

Her connection to Manchester extends far beyond the hospital walls. Over the years, she has built lasting relationships with patients and families while giving back through community service, from local outreach to international medical missions. “When you live and practice in one place, those patients become your people. This becomes your town.”

As she transitions to a new chapter in Florida, Dr. Fletcher leaves behind a legacy of leadership, mentorship and compassionate care that has touched countless lives.

Thank you, Dr. Fletcher, for your remarkable service and lasting impact.
